       说实在的，加拿大比我想象中还好，不仅温哥华这样的国际都市，即便是我现在生活的cumberland虽是一个小镇，也如天堂一般。这里依山傍水，山清水秀，干净宁静。不仅风景如画，让人迷醉，更重要是，这里的人文环境，更有和谐之美。这里的人们平等、平和、友善。不同民族生活在一起，相互尊重。特别让我感动的是，这里对中国文化更情有独钟。每年元宵节，这里专门组织中国灯节，放孔明灯。这一天，当地政府从温哥华专门请来中国剧团表演中国戏曲。我们餐厅被指定专门为275人参加的庆祝宴会提供餐饮服务。中国餐饮在这里很受欢迎。6月份，这里还将专门举办纪念活动，悼念那些上个世纪在这里挖煤死难的华人矿工。所有这些让我由衷的感到当地人民对生命的尊重，对华人的尊重。

Honestly speaking, Canada is better than I imagined, not only for international metropolis like Vancouver, the small town Cumberland I live in now also is heavenly. It is located near the mountain and by the water, has picturesque scenery and is clean and quiet. Extraordinarily picturesque is not the only merit of it, the harmonious social environment here is more important. People here are equal, gentle and friendly. People from different ethnic groups live together with mutual respect. I was particularly impressed by the special preference they showed to Chinese culture. On the Lantern Festival every year, they specially organize Chinese Lantern Festival to light up “Kong Ming” lamp. On this day, the local government invites Chinese theatre groups from Vancouver to perform opera. Our restaurant is designated to provide catering services for a celebration banquet attended by 275 people. Chinese food and beverage is very popular here. In June, commemorative activities will be specially held here to mourn for those Chinese miners died here last century while digging coal. All these things make me sincerely feel the local people’s respect to life and Chinese people.                 
       爸妈，这是一个与中国完全不同的国度，是一个值得留恋的国度，是一个像天堂一样美好的国度。我真的希望爸妈能与我们一同分享在这里生活的快乐。

Dad and mom, this is a country completely different from China, is worthy of nostalgia and wonderful like heaven. I really hope you can share the happiness of living here with us. 
      每当闲暇的时候，我就想起亲爱的爸爸妈妈，不仅黯然神伤。爸妈一直生活在太行山的崇山峻岭中，一生充满了艰辛。我记得妈妈曾对我说，一辈子的梦想就是坐一次飞机，看一次大海。每当想起妈妈的话，我心中都会很难过：在这个世界上，对很多人来说，这可能是很平常的事情，可对我的父母，却是一生的梦想。想到自己不仅走出了大山，而且飞越了大洋，生活幸福，却不能为实现父母的夙愿尽一点力，我心中充满了不安。我内心一次又一次地冲动，坚定着我的意志：一定要让爸妈也看看外面天堂一样的世界，让老人家梦想成真。这也算是我对父母养育之恩的报答吧。

Whenever I am at leisure, I would miss my dear parents and couldn’t help feeling sad. You have been living in the high mountains and lofty hills all the time and your life is full of hardships. I remember that mother ever told me that her lifelong dream is to take a plane and see the sea. When I think about my mother’s words, I feel very sad: it might be a quite common thing for many people in this world, but not for my parents, it is a lifelong dream. I not only went out of the mountain, but also flew over the ocean and lived happily here, but while thinking of this and never did anything to realize my parents’ long-cherished hope, my heart is filled with anxiety. My heart urged again and again and I confirmed my determination: I must let you see the outside heavenly world and make your dream come true. This is also my repayment to the love and care you gave me while bringing me up.       
    现在爸爸退休在家，你们可以有时间出来走走。等你们来了，我和新华先带你们参观温哥华岛的美景，它的美一定会让你们惊叹不已。我们还准备歇业一段时间，带你们去温哥华，多伦多。正好我俩也没去过多伦多，咱们一起去那里看大瀑布。

Now dad has retired from work to stay at home so you have time to come out to travel. After you come here, Xinhua and I will show you around Vancouver Island to see beautiful scenery there, and I am sure its beauty will make you surprised. We also planned to go out of business for a while to take you to Vancouver and Toronto. Xinhua and I just haven’t been to Toronto yet, so we can go there to see the Great Falls together. 

我们期待爸妈的到来，机票，旅行的一切费用由我们承担，我们也会安排好保险的。

       We are looking forward to the arrival of you, we will pay all the costs including flight tickets and traveling expenses, and we will also arrange the insurance.
